ACT TWO
SCENE D
FADE IN:
INT. COLOR ME MINE - DAY (DAY 2)
(Caroline, Del, Annie, Cindy, Billy, Woman, Extras)
CAROLINE AND ANNIE ARE SITTING AT A TABLE. ANNIE IS PAINTING POTTERY.
ANNIE CROSSES OFF. A CUTE, TWENTY-SOMETHING COUPLE, BILLY AND CINDY,
APPROACH THE TABLE WITH THEIR SUPPLIES.
CINDY
I hate to ask this, would you mind
scooching over a little?
CAROLINE
Excuse me?
CINDY
We were kind of hoping we could
sit here.
BILLY
(RE: SEATS) This is where we met, six
years, eight months and two days ago.
CINDY
It's our anniversary.
|
BILLY AND CINDY KISS.
CAROLINE
Please. Sit. I'll move to the
bitter side of the table. |
CAROLINE SCOOTS OVER.
CINDY
Happy anniversary, Billy Bear.
BILLY
Twice back at ya', Cindy-doodle. |
THEY GIGGLE AND KISS. ANNIE RETURNS.
ANNIE
Who are they?
CAROLINE
Billy Bear and Cindy-doodle. Satan
sent them.
CINDY
Oh pooh, they didn't give us any pink
for the bunny's nose.
BILLY
You stay right here. There's going
to be heck to pay. |
BILLY KISSES HER AND WALKS OFF.
BILLY RETURNS CARRYING A SMALL CUP OF PAINT.
BILLY
I got pink for your bunny, Bunny. |
BILLY LEANS IN TO KISS HER. NO LUCK.
CINDY
(ALL BUSINESS) That's cute, Billy.
Sit down.
BILLY
Is something wrong, Cindy-doodle?
CINDY
I want to know where our relationship
is going. I want to know if you're
going to commit to me. And I want to
know in twenty-four hours. |
BEAT.
BILLY
I don't need twenty-four seconds.
Will you marry me, Cindy?
CINDY
Yes, yes, of course, Billy. |
CINDY AND BILLY HUG AND KISS.
CAROLINE
Well, I did not see that coming. |
