It was like a gathering of old friends... Katherine, the polite and pleasant assistant offering me a glass of water, Mark, the assistant lording over the sign-in sheet with a professional and friendly air, Gilda, the casting director who is only slightly less supportive of me and my career than my mom, and Marco, the executive producer for whom I read months ago for the lead in his now-picked-up sitcom, offering me a warm hello and hearty handshake. What could possibly go wrong?
Well, nothing, actually. The reading went very well and after a quick note from Marco, I tried one of the lines again. He laughed and then quickly stopped me and said, "I just wanted to make sure," or something along those lines. I was dismissed with a couple of very engaging smiles and the comment, "See you soon," from Mr. Executive Producer Man. So it appeared that they liked me. A lot. But did they like me the most?
