HOT TV CHARACTER: The Gay Guy
It's a long way
from Love, Sidney, girls. The gay sidekick is becoming as
popular a TV fixture as the wacky neighbor. The closet door was
opened last season on Will & Grace with not only a gay
lead character but also a gay Howard Borden, Sean Hayes' Jack
McFarland. The lifestyle will be everywhere in prime time come fall.
The female lead in Then Came You has a gay pal, while Oh
Grow Up concerns a newly uncloseted fellow who moves out on his
wife and in with two of his straight best buddies, Apparently,
hilarity will ensue.
