Pick Totals / Update for Week 1
(Totals are approximate until all checks arrive.)
"Ducey Pool = JOY" [San Diego] --Bergstein~B
Alas, all good things must come to an end. One would hope to get more than 3 hours, though.
"Let's get this show on the road!!!!" [San Diego] --Trahan
Yes, we are on the road at last!! Week One has come and gone, and many, like Trahan, found out that Week One is often a big old pain in the ass. San Diego and Indy are bad? Atlanta and Baltimore are good? I don't remember hearing that on ESPN. Yet, the first painful bows have been struck and some people had to fall.
It appears we are settling in at 580ish contestants. Of those, 170 dropped down a tier this Sunday.
CURRENT STANDINGS
1st Place: 410 Undefeated
2nd Place: 170 Feated
Now is the time to talk of that magical 2005 season when 3 people who took a loss in Week One went on to get a share of the jackpot. It is not impossible. Only highly improbable. And yet it is that glimmer of hope that gets us all up in the morning, isn't it?
Some important notes moving forward (in an edgy rainbow style):
This week the deadline for picks moves up to its EARLIER time: Saturday at 10AM (24 hours before kickoff).
If you can't log in, check the board to see if your BoardName has been changed (usually shortened).
If you can't find your name, you may have to (sadly) scroll down to the second table. It is titled: One Loss. Ouch.
A check or two may still come in. Any postmarked Saturday or earlier will be conisdered "On Time."
