DEPUTY KALISH is filling out some paper work. He looks up and notices... A DEPUTY'S PATROL CAR in front of the Sheriff's station. It's headlights are on and red lights FLASHING. BACK TO DEPUTY KALISH he gets up from behind the desk. Moves outside.
73 EXT. SHERIFF STATION - NIGHT	Scene 73
We are shooting from behind the patrol car. Close on the front doors as Kalish moves out... we zoom back as he approaches car. DEPUTY KALISH Joe, can you hear me? What's the problem...? CLOSE ON DEPUTY KALISH as he peers into the driver's window... DEPUTY KALISH Joe... What's a'matter...? CLOSE ON JOE he's dead. But he's sitting behind the wheel. Slowly... RUMPELSTILTSKIN'S UGLY FACE peers up from behind Dead Joe, as we... CUT TO:
74 INT. SHERIFF STATION - CLOSE ON COFFEE POT - NIGHT	Scene 74A
as the coffee is being poured into a mug. We pull back to reveal Deputy Barnes carrying a mug of coffee to the front desk. DEPUTY BARNES Got a fresh brew, Kalish... He moves to the front desk. Deputy Kalish is nowhere to be seen. DEPUTY BARNES Kalish? Where the hell are you...? Play the suspense as Deputy Barnes moves past the front desk. He turns as if he heard something. Then he continues on and we see: DEPUTY KALISH hanging up on the wall skewered through a flag-pole with the American flag on it! Dead. ON DEPUTY BARNES as he moves back towards the coffee room... he suddenly stops. Did he hear something this time? DEPUTY BARNES What the fuck is going on here...?
SUDDENLY!! RUMPELSTILTSKIN drops down from above! Landing face to face with Deputy Barnes. Rumpel grabs the Deputy's face. Pulls it down and... BITES HIS NECK! The Deputy staggers back, draws his revolver. FIRES! Then drops to the ground... dead. Rumpel moves to the dead deputy. Grabs him by the head. RUMPELSTILTSKIN (screams) Tell me! Where's the baby??!
