Goofy part. Goofy show. It's got John Ducey written all over it.
Actually, this kind of part usually looks good in the office and then they give it to someone else. It's very similar to the Good Morning, Miami situation. The character is quirky, so they generally want a quirky look. I do a solid job acting the part, making it funny, and then get passed over for someone who looks like their vision. I'm not complaining, though, really, it's just the way these parts seem to shake down.
So imagine my surprise and pleasure to hear that I will be testing for the role next week some time. Pretty cool.
